Wendy's

This is one of those Wendy's that hasn't been upgraded yet. When I visited, the dining area was empty except for one or two patrons. They were also understaffed. I had to wait a little bit and call someone to take my order. I was pleased that my order was correctly completed and everything was hot and very tasty. The staff is friendly. Unfortunately, if you want a refill on your drink, you need to go upfront and have someone there refill it. The parking is adequate but it can be a challenge trying to get in and out due to traffic on Central Way especially in the evenings. Their best deal is definitely their 4 for 4 dollars deal, especially if you get the Double Stack. I like the fact that the seating is not cramped.

They don't let you mix your own fountain drinks. Maybe in the robot apocalypse future, this is where we are all headed. Press the button and receive your pre-packaged, pre-processed nutrient slurry, flavored only like Sprite. Your credits will be deducted upon purchase. But I live in the now and there is still a meat human behind the counter and our apocalypse is Capitalism. I want my free refills. I want my ridiculous heresy of flavor crafted by my impeccable artisanal touch, drafted from the finest of fountains. And I do not want to try to describe my arcane arts to the wonderful, unappreciated meat human forced into labor for an uncaring corporate machine just to experience my extremely particular taste for Brown Sludge. The fries didn't have sea salt. I'm not sure if you understand exactly how crushing that is, how bland and unexciting the fries were. Wendy's used to be a purveyor of the hands-down best fast food potatoes. They were a perfect blend. And today, they were bland. They weren't bad, but they were so, very, average. I will eat here again, but it will not be an experience worth sharing.
