Dino Carlino

I was traveling through town visiting family and needed to get a button sewed on my blazer. The lady at the counter said she could sew it on and asked if I wanted my blazer cleaned as well, which I said yes. After having it ready the night before we were leaving town to go downtown for an event, I paid my money and picked up the blazer and thought nothing of it. However, the next day when I was getting ready for the show (downtown Seattle), I took the plastic off to put my blazer on and noticed there was a piece of pet hair on the blazer. Since I'm allergic to pets I was keenly noticing this and thought it funny that I just paid to have it cleaned. Then, I also noticed that the button was sewn on crooked. Still, I thought huh maybe I'll call them tomorrow and let them know as they did write me up a thank you note with my Blazer and thought that was nice. However, 5 minutes later as I went to put on my blazer, I actually buttoned it once, took it off, then buttoned it again and all the stitching came out from the crooked sewn on button! I couldn't believe it, and I had to do a make shift holding the button on by using a safety pin I found in the room, before running late for my event. The next day I was leaving to come home and decided to call the business from the airport to explain the situation. I was very polite and professional and just wanted to explain the situation. I spoke directly with the owner who said that she was sorry and if I was there she would have it redone, but I explained again that I was actually at the airport leaving to go home and couldn't do that. She said she would talk to her employees about this for a learning experience and asked if I could send her some pictures, which I did as I texted them to her cell phone. The pictures I took were in the hotel room of the pet hair and the button sewn on crooked. The other picture of the button coming off was as we stepped out of the hotel room in the hallway when my wife took that picture. Because of this, the picture in the hallway was clear, but in the room the hotel lamp shades cast of golden hue which made my blue blazer appear more olive color. When I sent the pictures to the owner, she questioned that it was the same blazer because her record showed a blue blazer and not one that was Olive or brown. I explained that it was the color from the lamp and light in the room, but never received a reply. I also never received a refund, which I think speaks volumes for this business. Will I be coming back into town anytime soon? No, but my family there will never recommend them again, nor would I which is why I I am posting this. I would think that a business would take integrity and not question the fact why would I be sending pictures of my stuff as if I am calling them to scam them into a free cleaning and button sewed on? The minimum she should have done was refund my money without question, but the way this was handled was poor at best, so the fake apology unfortunately is not accepted. Those in the area should be aware of this business and should look elsewhere for their cleaning services, as I'm sure there's more options available.
