Tuesday Morning

My wife had a very unfortunate experience there this week. Last week she purchased a set of towels. They did not work out. She arrived at the store with the receipt, clean towels with their tags, original bag, and a copy of her visa card statement showing the purchase. She did not have the original credit card as the account was hacked and the credit card company asked her to cut it up. The assistant manager, Michael A., claimed he could not return her money because she did not have the physical card and the account number was changing. There was nothing he could do for her but give her store credit. My wife tried several alternatives with him but he said no credit card, no return. He was unfriendly, snotty, unprofessional, short and had a bad attitude. He treated my wife as the problem not him or the store. My wife went to her car, called the credit company, who quickly responded by saying, of course he can refund you. Put him on the line. She walked back into the store and gave him the phone. The credit card company set him straight. He called corporate and they explained to him how to refund her. Conclusion, he was lying when he said there was nothing he could do. I do not know what his motivation was or why he was unwilling to be proactive or to do his job, but this has tarnished our view of store if this is what qualifies as a manager.

Get some good deals here on occasion. The chain has become less interesting, but more locations will do that.
