Called to ask for information about collecting a representative sample for asbestos testing a new house I just purchased (first home, yay!). The inspector I was transferred to refused to get me any information because I was in the process of moving in and hadn't been living there (a potentially hazardous environment) for some arbitrary period he wouldn't define. I explained that I have it listed as my permanent, primary residence from a legal perspective, but he didn't think that was good enough and felt I should have a lawyer verify. So he refused to tell me about taking a sample because "it would be enabling you".
Frustrating experience for someone who's trying to do the right thing, and be environmentally conscious and safe.
