New to the area and in need of a GP I made the mistake of scheduling an initial visit with Lacey Medical Clinic. In hindsight a flag should have gone up when this was the only clinic in town without a month long waiting list.
Upon my arrival the front desk staff was amazingly rude and without looking up quickly shuffled paperwork at me. The waiting room was dirty and consisted of a piecemeal of furniture that looked as though it was bought from a number of garage sales during the late 60's. Once complete I returned to the front desk to find that the staff there had misplaced my driver's license and insurance card. Once recovered I returned to their dungeon of a waiting room. When the PA finally collected me from the dimly lit room she started in on lecturing me as on the proper office procedures of completing medical paperwork. There was no hello, how are you, what brings you in today. Simply commands as to what was expected of me. As I turning into the exam room I recoiled at the disarray of the poorly organized medical supplies spread across the counter. There were pieces from torn latex glove on the floor which were accented by the dim florescent lighting. It was at that point that I decided my visit was over. I turned to face the PA, and with as much reserve as I could muster, enumerated some of the more poignant concerns I had. At which point she moved to physically block the exit door and began to explain to me her reasons for her rudeness. Undeterred I reached for the door knob and squeezed my way past the her and out of the office. Suffice to say I will not be returning. Never in my life have I experienced sure unwarranted hostility.
