Motel 6 Tumwater - Olympia

I have gotten to the point that I look for a motel 6 to stay in. I dependably get reasonable prices and functional rooms. That is a good combination. I'm not an elegance addict. The Tumwater site suffers from there being no Motel 6 sign visible from the freeway. I got off the freeway and had no clue where to go. At the first stoplight, I went right, because it was easier than going left. Still no clues. In about a block, I stopped and asked in a Mexican restaurant, and it was essentially right next door, after another right turn. After checking in, I asked the guy in the office where we should eat dinner, and he sent us back to the Mexican restaurant, which was good, and convenient. Bonus points. I did run into one glitch in the room, and forgot to mention it when I checked out. The upper electrical outlet of the pair of outlets over the desk doesn't work, so I had to run my computer cord across the floor to the plug by the door. I try to avoid running cords across floors. The TV was plugged into the lower plug above the desk. If I had unplugged that, my wife would have thrown a fit. I think the room number was 115, the end room after going past the swimming pool, past a bunch of doors, and a few steps to the left.

The facility was clean, comfortable and pleasant. Billy was easy to work with as was all the staff I met with. I had just checked with a competitor and inspected the room. Although the room looked clean there were bugs between the matress and the box spring. That was why I was so picky in checking your room out. Of course it passed with flying colors. I was very pleased with the help I got from Billy and his partner. Before I had checked in, I had spoken with Mel about the room and explained the problem I had with the other other hotel and she set me up to view the place and put my mind at ease. I found the motel very clean and easy to find. I will be back.
