Engine House No. 9

Great gathering place for family, friends and kids of all ages. The fish and chips were delicious. The breading on the fish held it together as the fish was melt in your mouth delicious. For those of you who like tartar sauce there was plenty offered and for those of us loving the malt vinegar there was plenty for us as well. The food choice was difficult as there were fabulous salad, burger and Irish dishes to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful. The porter I tasted was semi-sweet, light on the smoke flavor and worth a try. Lots of unique flavors of beers that sound delicious but as it was a rough day I settled on a Long Island Iced Tea. It was substantial, delicious full 8oz and $8. The old firehouse would be fun to explore for the little ones and young at heart. The tables would be easy to push together to accommodate a large group and there are high chairs available for the wee folk.
