Alarm bells went off pretty soon after arrival. The internet did not work at any time during our stay, which the rental manager, was clearly aware of. While we weren't staying in Leavenworth to use the internet, not having it caused us many planning and other difficulties. The only offer of assistance that came from the rental manager was to use our vacation time to wait for a tech person to see about the issue, which was logistically not worth our time.
The "home theater" pictured in the photos is a waste of space. It displays network television. Watching external video is not possible as the DVD player failed to work and there was no way to input a laptop into the display. So you'll have comfy seats for watching the almost complete lack of entertainment options you're paying top dollar for! Additional problems included a broken drawer in the living room and bathrooms that require walking through multiple bedrooms in order to access.
But all that pales in comparison to the fun you'll have dealing with dishonest rental manager, who sent a litany of disrespectful emails claiming that we left the place in a terrible mess, which was not remotely true. We left on time after hours of our own cleanup. She sent us photographs of dishes in the sink (all clean by the way!), ashes in the fire pit (because we used it?) and claimed that the hot tub had to be drained because of our use of it, which, if you know anything about hot tubs, a group of 8 adults using one over a period of days always requires draining and cleaning it. Dishonest rental manager also made slanderous allegations based on pieces of conversation that could only have been known by a member of our party, unless, as we suspected, the strangers on site were actually spying on our party the entire time.
Be warned: The Enchantment Lodge is only enchanting if you are enchanted by having your wallet lifted and a decent stay in a mediocre rental ruined by a rental manager completely lacking in interpersonal skills, class, or manners.
