A few of the long-time volunteers are all too happy to talk to you about themselves. They will also pressure people into taking the garbage produce and "commodities". "Commodities" is their word for things like a giant bag of dried cranberries or a bottle of juice concentrate.
Places like this piss me off. The people are sanctimonious, like they made the food themselves. It literally is just whatever the stores donate instead of throwing away.
They make you wait way too long. It could be as simple as a sign-in, grab a number and go.
