We went July 1 2015. It was super hot. The trip was, as usual, beautiful. Both the captain and the deck hand did exceptionally well. Monte, the deck hand, worked really hard on an unusually hot day. We were out a long time because of engine trouble. One of the highlights of the trip was the slow speed we traveled at after the motor quit. We saw a great many details that we would have missed if we had been at top speed. One suggestion=print information sheets detailing the highlights of the various stops on the trip. There are many details no one individual should be expected to remember. I wonder, for instance, what the modern press would have done with the information that Governor Len Jordan had once lived next door to a bootlegger! Frankly, who cares, but fun to think about.
