2nd Time Around

Racism is alive and well in Renton. My grandsons, both black young men, were asked. "Are you going to buy something?" To which they responded "no, just looking." The clerk replied "you can leave." Stunned they paused, which cause a 2nd response. "You can leave." I was next door playing pinball at the 8 bit arcade. When I was told about their experience. I walked into the store and was not asked to leave until I gave the racist a ounce of my ignorance. He did not deny nor apologize. I reflect to my white upbringing that I never have felt this hatred. I will choose to spend my money elsewhere and let everyone know what is alive and well inside 2nd time around.
